'lie local champion, Kapi Tarcha, ™s beaten by S. Powdrell (Wanganui). Donald Giant (Christchurch), who represented New Zealand in the K.rk-Wmdcyev C Ut season, went under to W. O Ccillagli.m (Hawera), while Gonville Sauiidcrs, wni-ner-oE many championships, was beaten by B. M. Silk, an eighteen-year-old .schoolboy from Wanganui.
