— ♦ — CITY AND SUBURBAN ASSOCIATION In presenting the annual report and balance-sheet at the meeting ot the Uty and Suburban Cricket Association last night, the chairman (Mr. T. H. Langlcy) said that the past cricket season had been the most successful in the history ot tho association. Sixteen clubs had been affiliated, and the total number ot registered players was 226. The season was very successful financially, considering tne heavy expenditure during the visit to Wellington of the Auckland and Christchurch teams for the Walker Cup. The expenses of the tournament amounted to £121 17s 6d, and the balance in hand at the end of the financial year was £5 7s 2d. Ihe report and balance-sheet wore unanimously adopted, and a hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Langley for his services during the seven consecutive years that he had been chairman of the association. It was decided that the points awarded in the competition matches should be as follows:—4 points for an outright win, 3 points for a win on the first innings, 2 points for each team in the event of a tie, 1 point for each team in the event of an unfinished game. Mr. T. P. Davis was appointed to approach the Cricket Association in regard to the allocation of wickets on the Kilbirnie Reserve. The question of dividing the teams into two grades was held over for discussion at the next meeting. ■ Mr. Langley gave notice of motion that tho association should be run by a management committee of three members to decide on all matters that come up between the meetings of the association. C. Luxford, 11. Falicni, ami M. Kennedy; hon. secretary, Mr. A. Cell; treasurer, Mr. T. H. Langley; auditor, Mr. A. Hobson; recording secretary, Mr. T. P. Davis.
