The Department of Health has received tho following notifications of infections diseases in the hospital districts o£ the Wellington health district for tho. week ended yesterday (the figures for the previous week being given in parentheses):— Wanganui-Horowhcnua.—Scarlet fever, 10 (5); diphtheria, 1 (2); tuberculosis, 3 (3); cerebro-spinal meningitis, 2 (0); pneumonia, 3 (4); erysipelas, 1 (0); puerperal fever, 0 (1). Wairarapa-Hawkcs Bay.—Scarlet fever, 21 (23); diphtheria, 1 (2); tuberculosis, 1 (i); pneumonic influenza, 1 (2); pneumonia, 0 (2). Central Wellington.—Scarlet fever, 9 (8); diphtheria, 6 (11); tuberculosis, 4 (i) ; pneumonic influenza, 1 (0); pneumonia, 5 (8); erysipelas, 1 (3); septic abortion, 1 (I);* hydatids, 1 (0); puerperal fever, 0 (2). Nelson-Marlborough.—Scarlet fever, 1 (0); diphtheria, 1 (1); poliomyelitis, 2 (0); eclampsia, 1 (0); hydatids, 0 (1); pneumonic influenza, 0 (1).
