THREE BANKRUPTS
MEMBERS OF ONE FAMILY (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HAMILTON, Bth September. Mr. Jnstico Blair gave discharge from bankruptcy to three members of the Cornfoot family, George, Margaret Elizabeth, and Harry, formerly runholders in Hawkes Bay. Very large amounts were mentioned when the application for discharges previously camo bofore tho Court. Mr. Justico Blair then rofused tho application, as only a month had elapsed since bankruptcy. A creditor, E. F. Goulter, of Blenheim, to-day again opposed the discharge. His counsel stated that Mrs. Corufoot's father, Alexander Bell, died the very morning of the original application for discharge, leaving her an annuity protected from bankruptcy, and leaving Harry Cornfoot a legacy and a share of the residue. His Honour said there was no suggestion of impropriety; on the part of either party. Ho thought the rights of tho croditors under Bell's.;. will were ascertainable, regardlessi of Whether a discharge; were granted pr,.not.-. Ho accordingly ordered the discharge.
