PORT NICHOLSON BAND.

It would bo difficult to offer a more attractivo programme for to-morrow night than that announced for presentation in tho Grand Opora House by. the Port Nicholson Band. The artists Includo Madame Florry Roscoo, an English soprano, who has had a wide experience on tho concert platform, and who will be hoard In numbers from her repertoire, including "Morning. Mis 3 Connio Flamank, a contralto, who has been very successful at the Competitions here, will delight with her singing of "I Passed by Your Window." Little Kathleen Read will ho heard In Alfred Hill's well-known "Waiata Pol." Mr. Ernest Short, a baritone, will bo heard in "Tho Ringers." A feature of the concert should bo the xylophone solo by Mr. Jack Michel, who is a leading exponent of the Instrument. Ho will play tho overture, "Light Cavalry." Mr. Frank E. Crowther, who has just returned to Wellington, will act as accompanist. The band Items have beon carefully selected, and Include the hymn "Remington," march "On Tour," overture "Espotr de Alsace," meditation "Sanctuary of the Heart," and the stirring march "Association."
