SECOND-HAND "DUMP"

The Manitoba Motor Trades Association, Winnipeg, has placed a resolution before tho Federal Minister of National Revenue, Ottawa, Ontaria, protesting against the alleged "dumping" of used cars from the United States into Canada, and asking that the "antidumping" clause of the Canadian' Customs regulations be enforced, as such imports create unfair competition. . It is said that old cars are bought in the States at junk prices, and shipped to Canada, where they are sold at figures which the Canadian dealers cannot profitably meet, and it is urged that the duty on used cars should be based on their fair market value in Canada.
