KENT TERRACE CHURCH The annual business meeting of the. Ker>» Terrace Presbyterian Church was held last evening. The annual: report was sub- : initted by Mr... 0. Jack,, and: Miss James sppke; for. the Sunday School, Mr. Peterson and Mrs. Baird > for' the Bible Classes, Mr. A. JVaser for' the Boy Scouts and Cubs, arid Miss James ;. for the Young Worshippers'. League. Included were also reports from the Women's Guild, the P.W.M:U.,-audthe Girls' Club.. The reports generally indicate good work.' being done in all departments. The Moderator, the Rev. J. Baird, said :, ' the cougregation badly needed: a: new ■.;■.• organisation, wh|eh would be responsible ,< for visitation of the .district. There was, , a big need for homo mission work!in this -"' city, he added, and h,e hoped, that some- t , . thing would come out of'this Suggestion;. : The financial statement showed that th» .■ needs of the work have been liberally provided for, the moneys collected being approximately £1100 for ordinary revenue, £480 for interest and reduction of ;mori> , gage, and £250 for missions and benevolent objects. The work of the Women.'* ? Guild and Women's Missionary Union : were eulogised. Through the efforts of • the missionary union the collection of • mission moneys lias been reorganised,* and the response has been such that^the con- ' v gregatiori will now meet the Assembly* allocation. . ■ . "'■;■■' ■■■ . Cordial reference was made to the woi'k of the Rev. J. Baird, and a motion was passed that a letter, be sent conveying a message of regard to the Rev. J. Kennedy. It was also decided to send a cable - to Mrs. Elliott, expressing the sympathy of the congregation with her in the iUncsß ■':■■ ■ of her daughter. ;
