The grounds are jn good! order.! . ' .'". ' . : ■ '■ Play throughout tlie day was fast and interesting. Thirteen teams are competing —four from the North Island and the remainder from the South. Ruahine-Panne-1 virke, last year's champions, and Southland, runners-up, are both taking part. ■ Although some big scores ■were registered during the day the games were keenly contested, and the indications are that there will be some close and exciting games before the section winners are ionated. To-day's results are as follow:— Section One. Wellington 7, Bush 2. Otago A 6, Eastern B 2. Southland 0, South Canterbury B 0. Section 2. Euahine-Dannevirke 4, South Canterbury A 0. ' Tho women's championship hockoy ! tournament was continued to-day under pleasant weather conditions, after a particularly storniy night, light snow [having fallen, about 9 o'clock last ! night. Further, finals are: Canterbury S, Kotorua nil. Tho Buahino-North Otago match was postponed till Tuesday on account of tho condition of tho ground.'
