_ The annual report of the South Australian Jockey Club shows the seven days' racing during the year resulted in a profit of £7232, compared with ,£13,300 in .the previous year, the difference being repro-*; sented by decreased gate takings and £2400 less totalisator commission. Tote, tax paid to the Government ivas £12,120, and 1 amusement taxes amounting to £3416 were collected and paid to the State and Oorhmomvealth Governments. The club's assets are £92,735, and it has an overdraft at the bank of £25,500.
