WAIKATO DIOCESE

♦ CLEARING UP DISPUTE (By Telegraph.—PreuS Association.) . HAMILTON, _ This Day. About 500 Anglicans last night responded to the invitation of Bishop Cherrington to discuss the matters in dispute in the cathedral parish. After the bishop's statement and a discussion a resolution was carried expressing the wish that St Peter's remain a cathedral. The bishop had recently suggested he might remove the cathedral to another parish. The parishioners will meet next Wednesday to elect a new chapter owing to the resignation of the chapter elected at the annual meeting.
