"A BUYING WAVE"
NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE Australian Press Association. (Received 30th August, 10 a.m.) NEW YORK, 29th August. The casing in the tone of call money again losed a buying wave in the Stock Exchange, sweeping dozens of issues into new high ground and bringing the average of industrials to a new record peak. Trading exceeded four million shares for the first time since June. The tickers were stamped, running half an hour behind the market. Call money was m supply around noon at the renewal rate of 7V» per cent., and stocks continued to hold their early gains in most sections, several issues spurting several points, lhe Radio Corporation of America soared more than 12 points.
