«. ECONOMIES IN WAGES UNIONS SEEK DELAY Australian Press Association—United Service, LONDON, 26th July. Further conferences between tho railway companies and the unions have been adjourned until Friday. Tho companies are anxious for immediate economies. It is reported that the proposals involve about, two millions sterling off the railwaymen's earnings. If no agreement is reached tho companies are likely to press their claims before the National Wage Board, a procedure many unionists prefer.
