KING'S THEATRE.
".Man, Woman, and Son" is the title of the main attraction in. the change of programme at the King's Theatre. The story tells of the adventures of a young reporter in the hustle and bustle of American newspaper life. The story is set in Washington, a background that presents politics, but beneath the ordinary newspaper life there Is a story of romance, intrigue, and scandal. Romance is Introduced into the picture when the reporter falls in love with the society editor, aud comes into opposition with the owner of the paper. John Gilbert takes the leading male role, and does justice to the characterisation of the part allotcd him. Jeanne Eagles, a comparatively newstar, Is seen in the leading feminine role. She gives a finished Interpretation of her part. There are in support Hayden Stevenson, Marc M'Dermott, and Gladys Brockweii. The supporting programme is strong, and includes a Metro news, a New Zealand educational gem (the Maori as he was), a Charlie Chase comedy, and a Bombardier Wells picture, a boxing novelty. The King's Orchestra, under tho couductorship of Mr. A. 11. Jerome, contributes appropriate music.
