COLOMBO TEA SALES.
Supplies of, tea offered at the auction sales held in Colombo the first week in July aggregated 3,000,0001b. The demand from all countries, including Russia,. was active, and prices advanced. Commonest and common kinds \yere 3 cents to i cents a pound dearer, medium 5 cents to 6 cents, and fine teas G cents to 10 cents a pound higher, but where quality warranted it a still greater advance was recorded •: in prices for fine sorts.
