NO EARLY PROSPECTS TESTS WITH CANADA United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Australian Press Association. (Received sth July, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 4th July. Authorities in high places explain that beam telephony to Australia has become a more practical possibility, but no experiments in regard to it are yet being made. Hitherto, the tests have been confined to the Canadian beam with gratifyingly encouraging results. It is believed that it 'will be many months before tho telephone is available to Australia.
