PREFEKENCE TO UNIONISTS.
Prcferenco to unionists was condemned by Colonel Allen Bell (Bay of Islands) in the courso of his speech in seconding the Address in Reply un the House of Representatives last night. There could bo no progress in the secondary and primary industries, said Colonel Bell, while preference to unionists was allowed to remain. Until there was a free market, where a man was paid for what ho produced, then they could not hope to attain success. They had had experience of the preference to unionists clause for a number of years, and it had caused nothing but dissatisfaction.
