The sum of 3000 guineas was paid for a carved wood model of the battleship Royal William in a London saleroom. The original ship was known as the Royal James, tho Royal Charles, and during the Commonwealth went under the name of the Naseby. It was broken up over a hundred, years ago. The model, which bears the Royal cipher, is about 4ft long and made to scale, and has been considered to bo one of the finest models in the world. It belonged originally to the Earl of St. i Vincent.
