PRISONERS SENTENCED

« (By Telegraph .—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Supreme Court to-day the following prisoners were sentenced:—George Edgar Pengelly, alias David James Williams, eighteen months', imprisonment for housebreaking and theft; Joseph Edward Bell, aged 51, twelve months' imprisonment for carnal knowledge of a girl of 13; Frank Nicholl Walker, two years' imprisonment on seven charges of breaking, entering, and theft; Cyril Louis Walter Withell, two years' imprisonment for theft and forgery. Harold John Raymond Brunsden was admitted to probation for three years for the theft of £17 while a postal officer.
