Speaking at Sherbrooke- in an attack ; on the Tariff Board's recommendations, Mr. Bennett, the Tory leader, declared that New Zealand butter was enteringCanada to the detriment of the homo producers. The United States, on the other hand, protected its farmers against New Zealand. The United States Government legislated for' the United States and protected the farmers' industries. "Why doesn't Canada do likewise?" he asked. "Who are we', legislating for? The farmers ,of New Zealand?"
