CITY OBSERVATORY.
Last Saturday evening, about forty visitors were present at the Observatory, aii'i good: views were obtained through the nine-inch telescope. ' The chief objects seen were the moon, Saturn, Alpha Cvucis. (lie "jewel cluster," K;ippn Crueis, and the globular cluster Omega Centauri. Interesting lantern slides were shown and explained. The Observatory -wil's _ i>e open again to-morrow, at 7-30 p.m.. if the weather permits. The moon will be nearly full this week, «nd will therefore be Uie chief object to be seen. Saturn should iilso lie good, ami some of tho bright stellar objects: but clusters and nebulae -will be much dimmed by the moonlight.
