— -, ♦ : ■ PRISONERS SENTENCED Prisoners were sentenced by his Honour Mr. Justice Beecl in the Supreme Court yesterday Noel <Keith Coulter, aged 18 years, ■was .ordered to be detained in the Borstal'.;lnstitute for three years on eleven, charges of breaking, entry, and theft at Palmerston North and Wangariui., ". Samuel John Tocker, aged 25 years, was ; sentenced to two years' reformative detention for an indecent act. Charles Applebee, aged 20 years, and George M'Donald, aged 39. years, appeared for sentence for breaking into Clark and Morris's jewellery shop in Cuba street and committing theft. Applcbeo was ordered to be detained in the Borstal institute for two years, and M'Donald was sentenced to twelve months' reformative detention. Charles Murphy, 'aged -32 years, for breaking, pntry, and theft, was sentenced to imprisonment for three years, and was declared an habitual criminal.
