Alfred O'Shca's remarkable success in London were partly responsible for tho overflowing audience which greeted him at tlio Sydney Town Hall last night. Mr. O'Slica lias a wonderfully sweet tenor voice, and lias boon taught how to uso it to tho best advantage. Ho does not strive to shake dip walls, but lie can when tho occasion requires rise to heights .of passionate climaxes. Ho hold his audience fascinated, particularly in the lovely Handellan air 'Waft Her Angels to the Sky.1 It is unusual for an audience to interrupt a sequence of songs, but (hat Is what Mr. O'Shca's audience demanded last night when ho sang an exquisite French song, 'Lo Miroir.' In his encore nieces, Mr. O'Shea gave 'II Mio Tesoro,' from Don Giovanni, which was a sheer delight, and he also sang 'Has Sorrow Thy Young Days Shaded,' 'Oft in the Stilly Night ' and several other old Irish melodieswith a sincerity and sweetness and a sympathetic feeling that have never boon approached In Sydney."
