RABBIT SKIN SALE.
The fourth monthly sale of the season was held to-day, when the Combined Brokers, N.Z. Loan and Mercantile .Agency Company, Ltd., and Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., offered a good average catalogue before a full attendance of southern buyer.s, exporters, furriers, and the local' trade. Bidding was keen for all grades, but prices in sympathy with the southern market were from 3d to 6d per lb lower for autumn ami summer grades, and winter5 sorts were slightly better than last southern sale. Owing to the lack of American orders, the market shows a slight drop, but prices are maintaining a good average, nnd the prospects for our next sale, to be hold on the 12th July next, aro very promising. Tlio following is the range of prices obtained: —Runners and suckers, 24% dto 38% d; light racks, 46d to 46y 2 d; heavy racks, SC'/id to 42d; prime racks, 47% d; summers, 36d to 40d; dawny autumns, 48d to 52% d; early autumns, 55% d to Cod; late autumns, 70d to 78% d; incoming winters, 74 3,M to 97d; autumn.blacks, 6Sd to 69% d; incoming blacks, 91d; winter blacks, ]00d to 117 d; Ist winters, 116 dto 130(i; prime bucks and does, 120dto 142 d; early winter bucks, 107 dto llCd; hare skins, GGd to HSVid.
