TRIBUTE OF JOURNALISTS,
Speaking, on behalf, of tho journalists of Wellington, Mr. Parker said he was very pleased to associate himself with tho sentiments which had been expressed in regard to Mr. Baillio. He could fully endorse all that had boon said about the kindness, courtesy, and assistance Mr. Baillio had extended to anyone who had sought his help. Mr. Baillie's knowledge of tho city of Wellington and his acquaintance with the early history of the place should be utilised' by the city authorities and should bo collected in some manner that would enable \t to bo handed down to future generations. There was no one better qualified than Mr. Baillie to do such a work, and it was certainly a matter that should not be lost sight of. The journalists of Wellington were all very grateful to Mr. Baillie for what he had done in their interests. Messrs. JTrascr, Turner, and Pope also paid warm tributes to tho work of Mr. Baillie. Messrs. Turner and Pope thanked Mr. Baillie for what ho had done in organising the libraries of the Forestry Department and the Department of Agriculture.
