LETTERS.
Dear Fairiel, —I received the picture you sent me yesterday. Thank, you so much. The baby in the shell reminds me of our baby. I've not told you of him yet. He weighs 151b with clothes on. On '6th June he will be five months. I have him in my bed every morning. Sometimes he scolds. I suppose you were wondering why I did not write to you? The reason why was all my news was stale. I am not doing much • these holidays. Just going out with mother. When I got back I found I was put into Standard IV. I have made a little park in our chicks' pen. It is a very big pen. I have transplanted a few trees, such as pussywillows, holly, and bullybully. It was quite easy to make steps, for it is on a bank. Of course I had to make a tennis court, so every spare bit of earth went in a little corner, I then flattened it out, and let it set. That made the level court. "DREAMT." Wellington.
