CUNARD COMMANDER RETIRING.
Commodore Sir James Charles, K.8.E., the senior commander in the service of the Cunard Line, will retire at the end of July (states the "Syren and Shipping.") He is at present acting as relief commander, and before breakinK his connection with the company with whtch he lias been associated for j so many years, he will make one more voyage in cliarKO of each of their largest ships, the Bercngariii, Aquitania, and Mauretania.
