TUMULTUOUS WELCOME GARLANDED WITH FLOWERS United Sorvlce. (Received 2nd June, 3 p.m.) HONOLULU, Ist June. Almost immediately after their arrival the trans-Pacific flyers woro taken to tho Honolulu Hotel. The greetings •at the. landing-field were short, but ' picturesque as high officials, including the Governor, Mr. Wallace E. Parring•ton, shook-hands and decorated them with flowers. Tho crowd surrounded them, congratulating them, whilo cameramen scrambled for "stills" and "movies." They say. that tho ease with which th c'plane followed the .radio beam was proof of the value of radio.Owing to trouble with their radioreceiving battery they will install a larger battery before leaving for the 'Suva flight. Tho 'plane had 130 gallons of gas left when they landed at Wheeler. Field, enough for three more hours. - Their time from San Francisco has been unofficially computed at 2,7 hours 27 minutes. M^itland and Hegcnberger still hold tho record with 25 hours 49 minutes 30 seconds. i
