MR, G. WARD TEICE' (From "The Post's" Representative.) LONDON, 21st. March. , Mr. G. Ward Price, director of the Associated Newspapers,. Limited, and since (September, 1926, assistant-editor of "The Daily Mail," has been appointed managing director of the Northcliffc Newspapers, Limited. This company was founded last month, by Viscount Eothermerc for the publication of evening journals in the principal provincial cities of Great Britain. , Mr. Ward Price's name is well known to readers in the Empire. His appointment to the important post to which he now succeeds is a striking instance of the great increase in the number' of high prizes offered by tue career of journalism since Lord Northcliffe and Lord Eothcrmere founded "The Daily Mail" thirty-two years ago. : Mr. Ward Price, who is 41, first joineel "The Daily Mail" in 1908) while still an undergraduate at, Cambridge, and in the following year became a special correspondent. Since then he has represented that newspaper in many different parts of the world. Ho was tho resident, staff correspondent of "The Daily Mail" before, the war in Vienna, Constantinople, Berlin, and Paris in turn. He accompanied the Turkish Army in the Balkan. War of 1912. In the European War he was official,war correspondent, at this Dardanelles until the evacuation, and afterwards on the Salonica front and with the British Army in Italy. He made an adventurous visit in Moorish dress to Abdel Krim 's field headquarters during the Riff campaign.in 1924; and the following year accompanied the Prince of Wales on his African and South American lour. , Since 1925 Mr. Ward Price has been on the administrative staff .of "The Daily Mail." .'. ■ . ,■'
