TOC H WOMEN

♦ HOSTELS.OF SERVICE (From "Tlio Post's" Representative.) ' LONDON, <3th March.: A sister organisation of Toe H—the Toe. H Loaguo of Women Helpers—has ben formed. Now Juno is the name of the headquarters, a-hostel for girls run on tlio same lines as a Toe H Mark, or v hostel for young men. It is situated in Great Tower street, on the site of a twelfth century house called New June. Second June is the name chosen for another house in Notting Hill, to which the traditions of New June, had spread. In time it is intended that there shall be other Junes, just as there aro other Marks.* - i In tho "family. of New Juno there are as many different elements as possible. Tho ideal of all associations of the Toe II Loaguo of Women Helpers is that there should bei'in each "family" a hospital nurse, secretary,Momestic servant, student of medicine, dispenser, social worker, clerk, etc. .They live together, each pledged to do'somo work of service—children's welfare, Girl Guides, clubs, work for hospitals, or theblind. As in Toe H, tho league requires probation before membership, and appoints its sponsors to help the probationer to an understanding of the duties and privileges of , membership. The women of the. league help where they can in the domestic work of the Mark houses. They darn the socks, sew on the buttons of the young men, and launder the vestments of the chapels.
