I HINEMOA KNOCKED ABOUT (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Hineinoa, which left Auckland on 9th May, on her arrival at Makogai Island, encountered very "bad weather. She was hovc-to during a gale on 13th May—the decks were flooded, and considerable damage was done to the deck fittings.^ One big sea shifted the kedge anchor, weighing over a ton, from its lashings, carried away the ship's figurehead, and flooded the seamen's quarters, .and there were three feet of water in' thc^ forecastle. During the gale the Hinemoa was detained two days on the voyage to Earatonga on account of the gale. .
