"GOING VERY WELL INDEED" Asked to-day how the campaign I'fir the raising of the first £70,000 of Wellington's £.100,000 townrds the erection of tlio Dominion Museum and Art Gallery was progressing, the Mayor ..Mr. G. A. Troup) said that it was going very well indeed, a number of further substantial donations having been promised, one of tho'ui well over £ 1000. There were still, however, a number of firms or other institutions which had yet to decide upon the amount of their contributions, but word should be had from them shortly. The fund has now reached -the £00,000 level in sums definitely stated, but trie amount must climb a good deal higher when the thirty or so others who" have promised assistance say the word. The next announcement of subscribers may not be made until the first goal of £70,000 has been reached.
