THREE SHIFT SYSTEM.
The introduction of tho three shift system at Tyno Dock is reported to have proved very successful, and. iudecd, that Is tho general experience in this area whero tho full 21 hours aro being' worked. Vessels are natu-, rally obtaining quicker dispatch, and at Tyne Dock a vessel took 5000 tons of coal and bunkers ill 13 hours 40 minutes working time.
