SAILORS FRIEND SOCIETY.
The programme presented by Misses T. Colpus, M. Spencer, and I. Stanton at the KailorV Friend Society on Tuesday "hit" the popular taste a!nd led to encores and much applause. The performers were Mrs. N. Brooks, Misses Bocott, Wall work, 10. Sawyer, I. Stanton, J. Sawyer, and M'Kay, and Messrs. Perkins and Appleby. Misses . AVallwork, Stanton, and M'Kay were at the piano. Kefreshmenti were handed round by the hostesses and helpers. Mr. J. Moore took for his Temperance chi.it '-Have One With Me." Hedges followed. Prizes for the competitions enmc from the hostesses and went to the ships in port.
