RABBITSKIN SALES

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received a cablegram from' their London house on the sales recently held. The prices realised at the March sales are iv parentheses:— I'ull winters, thin pelts, prime . (143d--154d), not quoted; full winters, thin pelts, slightly spotty (120d-142d), not quoted; full winters, medium and stout pelts (100d--115d), 118d-130d; second and late winters (thin pelts) (82d-129d), not quoted;, second and late winters (stout pelts) (65d--92d), 88d; early winter and first incoming (70d-110d), 74d-112d; late autumns (64d--70d), not quoted; early autumns (55d-64d), 62d-68d; outgoing and springs (45d-56d), 50d-64d; autumn racks (45d-50d), 49d-54d; light racks (45d-48d), 50d-54d; spring and summer racks, thing and/or medium and stout pelts (29d-36d), 38d-44d; inferior and damaged (fair to good) (57d^68d), 61d-71d; inferior and damaged (medium to poor) (28d-54d), 33d-59d; milky, medium to poor (27d-4(Sd), 3od-49d; milky, fair to good (not quoted), 52d-59d); kittens and suckers (26d-30d), 30d-34d; black and silver grey, autumn, spring, and summers (42d--54d), 4Gd-60d; fawns (all grades) (83d--118d), 118 d. There were 2460 bales offered, and 1350 sold. New Zealand hatters practically' cleared at average of advance nearly 15 per cent. Messrs. Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following telegram from their Dunedin office, with reference to the rabbitskin sale held there on 22nd May:—"There was a very keen 'sale of all grades of rabbitskins, prices generally firm, autumns being 2d easier. The following is the range of prices realised: —Light racks 49/50 d, prime racks 49/ 51% d, dawny autumns 54/62 d, early autumns C4/73d, autumns: 80/83(1," second incoming 80/84 d, incoming 92/93% d, early winter 113/116% d, first winter, bucks 118/ 121 d, does 124/127% d, prime bucks to 124% d, does 128/130 d.
