Tho Postal authorities have received cable advico from Sydney that theKaiapoi, which left yesterday for New Plymouth, tarries 23 bags of mail from Australia and 17 parcel receptacles for Wellington and South. While turning a sharp bend, on the Moawhango road near Taihape a mo-tor-car containing Mr. T. C. Lowry, the well-known cricketer, and his brother, Mr. Balph Lowry, skidded and plunged over a steep bank (reports ,an ex-. change). Mr. Tom liowry: was not injured, and his brother escaped with' minor abrasions. The car yrftn extensively damaged.
