Tho following forecast was Issued at 9 a.m. to-day for the ensuing 24 hours: — Winds —Moderate to strong southerly winds, reaching Bale force in places. Barometer —Rising. Seas—Moderate In tho Cook Strait region and on the West Coast of the South Island; elsewhere rough in New Zealand waters. Tides—Moderate In the Cook Strait region and on the West Coast of the South Island; elsewhere good. Warning signals for southerly gales are exhibited at Tiritlrl, Castlepolnt, and tho Nuggets. Weather —Still unsettled in many places with scattered showers ( hut chiefly fair in the Cook Strait region and tho western districts of the South Island. Cool temperatures with some inland frosts. > Monday, 7th May, 1928.
