FOLK SONGS IN COSTUME
In every musical land whero Dawn Asslicton has sung, Tress comments havo been unanimous not only in their glowing comments ou her voico and dramatic powers as an interpreter of operatic arias and folk songs, but also in their enthusiasm when describing tho artist's costumes. Dawn Assheton's wardrobo includes costumes from Java, Burma, Hawaii, India, Hungary, Russia, British Isles, Japan, and Spalu. It requried two world tours lasting over five years to gather thin valuable International wardrobe. Slnco Miss Assheton introduces the songs of at least four or five countries on every programme, her audiences havo an opportunity to see the great English artist In many of those colourful costumes. Dawn Assheton and Laszlo Schwartz, tho Hungarian violinist-composer, will bo heard at tho Town Hall Concert Chamber on Tuesday and Wednesday, Bth and Oth May. Tho box plan opens at The Bristol on 3rd May.
