RUGBY LEAGUE
QUESTION OF CITY GROUND The Management Committee of the Wellington League Centre met on Tuesday evening, when Mr. Buckland presided over a good attendance of delegates. The secretary's report concerning the deputation to the City Council led to a good deal of discussion. It was intimated that prominent citizens favoured the League game being granted a ground. Several interesting points were raised, and a plan to further the ground project was loft in the hands of the secretary to execute. Messrs. Chell and Wrack reported that the alterations and additions to the dress-ing-shed at League Park were almost completed, and that shower-baths were being installed, and would be ready before the competition commenced. It was decided to postpone the opening of the competition until 51U May in order to give the projected new clubs representation nt the next meeting of the centre.
