Scouters and Scouts wish liiin every success and trust thai he will iind time to sec something of our Imperial headquarters and Gilhvell1 to tell us about on his return. There is much to interest Cub pucks, Scouts, and Hovers in the January and .Kebi'uury "Scouter," green cover magazine. All troops should ask the- district secretary how to obtain copies. Troop committees will iind interest and help by reading Rules 2s, 71, 72, 73, New Zealand regulations, lately issued. There are many sorviues to the movement which have not been fully recognised by the troop eommitees of the past; by reading 'these rules one may see in what way imy action of office may bo recognised. The Hovers held a most successful evening lust Saturday, Practically tlie full number of the company were present. Kovermate L. Maurice and Hover Lett gave instruction to a, clasa in ambulance work, as a preliminary to preparing for the St. John teats, llovermate Perry taught advanced signalling. During the supper interesting subjects were discussed. Later in the evening a mock court was held. A party of Sea Scouts have joined and will be known as Sea Hovers. Last Sunday evening they1 atteuded the service by Canon I'ielden Taylor. A meeting of parents and residents nt Ngaio interested in the Scout troop is to be held on Monday night. The District Commissioner. Sir Alfred Hobin, has promised to be present. ' Wadestown Troop have taken a fresh lease of life. Last I'riday a visit from D.S.M. Donkin nnd a party of Rovers was appreciated. During the winter indoor meetings are made interqsting by such visits, which besides are helpful to young troopa. The Wellington District Spa Scputs are now going strong under Sea Commissioner 0, L. Young, with Mr. S. Harvqy, of The Terrace, ns hon, secretary. The Sea Scout *cre\v attached to the City Rovor Company has now a full boat, but there is room for three more ex-Sea Scouts of seventeen or upward, who may desire to keep in touch and training with the active companies. Oiie new boy joined the Kaioii Troop last Friday, being transferred from the Newtown Troop. The troop had a surprise visit of two Scoutmasters and six boys from St. James's Troop; it was quite « treat for them, and they are hoping that other troops will give them visits. The Cub pack formed with seven boys last week has now increased to fifteen, while several more are desirous of joining up. Any boys between eight and eleven years of age are welcome, and all that in possible will bo done to train them and give them a real good time. This Sunday they will be holding ii church parade. On Friday a pound night is to be hold;' all are welcome. The annual report given by the Cubmuster of the St. Augustine's Pack showed lllttt "good jungling" was carried on during the previous year with every success. Tho Commissioner highly congratulated the pack on its efficiency on two occasions. A successful . weck-ond camp was organised last Anniversary Day. The number o£ proficiency badges earned by tho pack number 03, showing Mint Rood progress is being made. Wo would like to invite all | Cubmasterii and those interested to a Wolf Cuh concert on Wednesday, 2nd May, in St. Augustine's Hall, Victoria street, ! I'etortG. Tho proceodH (ire in aid of the Scouts' Hall Building Fund. Kino boys of Trinity Troop spent a most I enjoyable Easter in camp ut one ot the I baytt round Wellington Harbour, under t.lioir Scoutmaster. They were vcry_ glad ito have Assistant-Scoutmaster It. Kemp, of nulls, in camp with them, also Mr. Meredith, and n brother Scout from Lower Hiitt. Tho wet Aveitther spoiled the programme, hut not the camp, which was most successful and proved well worth while. Troop Leader Clark was in charge of stores, and I'.L.'s Kobinson anil Palmer were in charge of the tents. The tent competition wan won by tlio Seagull tent, under P.L. KoWuson.
