CYCLISTS' TOURING CLUB.

A unique competition waß^arricd out by the Cyclists' Touring Club on Saturday afternoon. When members met for the usual weekly run, it was announced that v "nail drive" would be held on the Hutt x'oad cycle track, and from 2 o'clock till 4 a dozen cyclists were busy filling their pockets and touring bags with nails. When Petono was reached the winner was found to be L. Critchley, who had a bag of 391. The total number of nails picked up on the track from Thorndon to Ngahaurnnga was 1843, besides a large quantity of wire, strips oE zinc, glass, and other puncturing material. The new club-room will be officially opened next Saturday evening, after the weekly run. A large gathering of cyclists is expected.
