ST. PATRICK'S DAY CONCERT.
Tho customary Irish couccrt in celebration of St. Patrick's Day was givcu m the Town Hall on Saturday evening. .An entovtaining programme of JnaU an-s wua provided, which tho audieucc thoroughly appreciated, and the performers were liberal with encores. The boys ot the Marist Brothers' School, '.Tlionidon, sans "Sweet Vale of Avoca," and Ireland Must 13e Heaven." The boys of the, las ; man street School sang "A 'loast to Mm, nnd the combined choirs wcve_lieaid in ''God Save Ireland." Misses 0. Maekcmc and Agnes M'Davit.t were heard in Love s Young Dream," and "Believe Mo If All Those Endearing Young Charms. Come Muck to Erin," and •'The Wear ing ot the Green," were sung by Miss KatoO Dwyei. Miss Kathleen Jansen sang *ll° r *? Tales of Ireland," and '^'^"fJA ncen" (a man's song). Mr Ihon us U Wood was heard in Tor the Gice , and Mr. William Kenshaw. sang Ma no. My Girl." "She is Far from the Land and "Hills of Donegal," J»«~ •S55J* Miss Frances Morrison and Mim ™ sang "Danny Boy.' Mr. Leon '^^™ was heard in two Violin solos. London dorry Air" and "Mazurka." Pupils ot Mi^Phyllis M'Millan danced an Iv*h and Eileen Baker performed a contortion act. Mr. George Correlh, of J°e Brennan Revue • Company, sang Ma^?' la" and "An Irishman's »reom. *** airs were played on the ?™" d °r$j";JX Mr. J. F. Skcdden. Mr. Harold Whittle was the accompanist.
