(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") • AUCKLAND, This Day. : About 300 shopkeepers made applications to Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday for exemptions from the closing hours fixed by various awards. The applications were made under the provisions of the new Shops and Offices 'Act. After discussion between the Magistrate and counsel it was decided to adjourn all applications until next Friday, when legal argument will be heard as to the interpretation of the Act.
