Messrs.'Booth, Macdonald, and Co., Ltd., report for the.year:ended 31sfc December a debit of £2426 Is Id, but "there is cause, for congratulation (it is stated) that, in view of the general depression in trade, in every avenue of; business that the balance is not greater." The resignations of Messrs. George T. Booth and B. G.. Booth is ■ recorded, and the business is \ now . conducted-by the general manager, Mi;.: G. M. Hall, and an executive. Many economies haye1 been made, and more are under review, and everything is being considered for the betterment of the business. "Mr. James Macatister has joined the board and the directors record the benefit of his valuable-experience and advice. Messrs. H. Friedlander and H. H. Holland, retiring directors, offer themselves for re-election.
