OTTAWA, Bth March. Another and more startling development as the result of Canada's changed relationship with Britain is imminent. Prom authentic sources it is learned that, tho Premier (Mr!" Mackenzie King) contemplates utilising the opportunities of the new status of Canada in the, British Common wealth of Nations to make a drastic change in the basis and personnel of the International Joint Commission.- Up to the present the authority of the Canadian section of that body has had'its source in-the British Government. Tho Pro-1 ;'.•■■ ' mier.holds that tho section should be named by Canada in the country's own right and authority. The chairman (Mr. C. A. Magrath's) resignation has been in the hands of the Government for three years, but is not accepted, but it is stated that the Premier has asked for tho resignations of the two other members, Sir1 William Hearst (exPremier of Ontario), and Mr. H. A. Powell (of St. John).
