A seaman, John Inglis, who lives at 24, Garrett street, received a punctured wound in the right leg and abrasions to his face when he was struck by a tramcar in Manners street last evening. He was taken to the Hospital by the City Ambulance. In reading, writing, and arithmetic, Scottish school-children surpass . their English and American rivals, judging by receut tests. These proved that a Scottish boy aged ten can spell as well as a London boy of twelve. ,
