Milton Sills, as one of the toughest of tough heroes, but a tender, steadfast lover, a terror to German airplanes over the lines, and a plague to the military police In Paris, Is presented in "Hard-boiled Haggerty" to be screened finally tonight at the Paramount Theatre. How in Paris he meets his lady-love the sweet, spirited, loyal, and lovable Germaine (Molly O'Day), Is a story within a story, a golden thread of romance running through the plot, and best told by the play itself. "Hard-boiled Haggerty" was keenly followed throughout by a large and most appreciative audience. The topical budget (an English news reel) and the more than usually entertaining comedy "Prudence" are very enjoyable, and the incidental and other music is very finely rendered by the Paramount Orchestra under the able directorship of Mr. L. D. Austin. Marie Prevost has the leading role in "Getting Gertie's Garter," which will be presented at the Paramount Theatre on Friday. It is a sc-een version of the famous stage play. The plot revolves round the elusive article of feminine attire, which, presented to Gertie by the lover whoso portrait is upon It, and who later makes every effort to get it back, is tho cause of amusing complications that can better perhaps be imagined. Charles Ray should make a very manly lover of the blonde and the brunette ladies who alternately capture his heart! A comedy-drama which provides something really interesting and unusual in the way of entertainment for picture patrons may be expected. The box plan is now , open at tho Bristol.
