CAR CONVERSION
A GARAGE EMPLOYEE (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DAEGAVILLE, This Day. Three young men, Ivor Maurice Vuuse, George Wakolin, and Douglas M'Donald, wore charged in the Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr. F. H. Lcvien, S.M., that they did, without colour of right, on 29th January, convert a car to their own uso in such a manner as not to be guilty of theft, also with the theft of a tin of benzine. Tho car taken had been left for repairs at a local garage, where Vause worked, and was driven by him, accompaniod by the other two, on extensive trips of the district. Vause and M'Donald pleaded guilty and Wakelin withdrew his plea of not guilty. Vauso was fined £20,' and M'Donald and AVakclin £10 each. Application for suppression of the names was refused by the Magistrate, who said that tho ofTenc'e was becoming too common, and,the publication of names was one of the best means of stopping it.
