LEGALISING THE TOTE
(A.P.A. and "Sun.") (Received 9th February, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Bth February. A single clause Bill has been prepared legalising the totalisator. Operation is limited to Britain, leaving Northern Ireland to deal with the question locally. The Bill must be introduced by a private member, and a large number of members are balloting for it in order to increase its chance of introduction. There is some objection owing to the fact that the Bill does not apply to dog racing.
