DAYLIGHT SAVING

AN APPRECIATION BENEFIT TO HEALTH (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMEESTON N., This Day. A meeting of the retailers of Palmerston North passed a resolution appreciating the benefit received by themselves and their assistants from the operation of the Summer-time Act. It was stated that for the past three months the extra hour of daylight in the cool of the evening after tho hot summer days had proved invaluable so far as their health was concerned, and their thanks were due to Mr. Sidey for his tenacity in securing this great advantage for every retailer, warehouseman, and factory worker.
