PAREMATA RACES

There were four starters in the Paremata Club's first-class event:—lbex (10 mm), Ariki (omin) l ~Kotuku (4min), Kuini (ecr). After an interesting race, the Kotuku crossed the finishing, line Imin ahead of the Kuini, with the Ibex third. The second-class race was abandoned, as none of the entrants was üble to complete the course within the time limit owing to the strong tide and patchy breeze. Mr. E. Parkin's Katrjna was an easy winner of the launch race, Mr. Shearer's boat, Robert E. Lee, being second, and Mr. Sterling's Tui third.
